Thank you for you interest in the Yamaha Australian Youth Piano Competition. This prestigious competition was retired in 2007 after a long and illustrious series of events since 1994. This retirement has allowed Yamaha Music to create a new program for Australian students - the Yamaha Piano Awards.
The Yamaha Piano Awards will celebrate it's inaugural year in 2008. This program seeks to provide musical opportunities for Australian students - through both instrument awards (pianos awarded to a school/community venue in each state of Australia on an annual basis) and a partnership with Recitals Australia to provide performance opportunities for more proficient pianists.
